Amine Units

CDM’s Modular Quik-Connect™ MQC® Amine Units

Our amine units are truly modular: they are compact, easy to install and safe to operate. Extensive civil engineering and design affords our modules the flexibility of NO CONCRETE foundations. Our modules are also designed to withstand 120 mph hurricane force winds.

All of our pressure vessels are ASME code constructed and stamped with a national board registration. Each module is fully assembled, tested and painted. Each is self-contained and comes complete with all piping, controls and instrumentation. An electrical panel is installed on the main process module to provide a complete system with all motor control starters and a PLC safety Panel. It is expandable to accommodate any future customer end devices or SCADA system.

These amine units were developed knowing that our customers’ time and safety are valuable commodities.

Condensate Stabilizers

CDM’s Modular Quik-Connect Condensate Flash Stabilizers

The CDM Modular Quik-Connect (MQC) Condensate Flash Stabilizer (CFS) separates the more volatile hydrocarbons from your condensate stream, allowing for atmospheric storage and transport. Our Condensate Flash Stabilizers are modular, skid mounted and designed to meet 9 RVP or zero vapor emission specifications for your atmospheric storage of condensate.

Our design utilizes our patented technology and provides unparalleled value for producers. Prefabricated in an ASME code shop, the CDM Condensate Flash Stabilizer design is complete with all piping, controls, instrumentation and electrical, and requires no concrete foundations.

CDM’s CFS Advantages:

  • RVP of 9 psi: Lower RVP helps meet environmental emission controls more efficiently; less vapor, more NGL
  • Uses Flash vs. Stabilizer Tower to Collect VOCs: Cost savings in equipment manufacturing is passed on to customer while required specifications are still guaranteed
  • Input heat duty of 2 MMbtu/hr: 33% more heat generation drives off more VOCs, allows lower RVP specification to be met, and offers wider range of inlet compositions

NGL Product Treaters

NGL Product Treaters remove CO2 and H2S from natural gas liquid streams. CDM has years of experience and technical expertise in understanding liquid treating.

Glycol Dehydration Unit

The MGDU (modular glycol dehydration unit) removes unwanted water vapor from gas, which prevents line plugging due to hydrate formation, reduction of line capacity due to free water formation and corrosion of pipelines.

The MGDU consists of:

Gas Coolers

Cool Max Gas Cooler

The Cool Max Gas Cooler is a single-engine-driven unit designed for maximum gas cooling efficiency.  The Cool’s forced draft design uses less horsepower and provides for a more compact design,  ease of installation and simple day-to-day operation.

The Cool Max Gas Cooler's unique, sloped section arrangement provides greater gas cooling capacity design and creates a high-discharge air velocity to minimize the recirculation of hot air. The vertical discharge design makes the gas cooler's performance predominantly unaffected by variation in wind direction or the location of adjacent equipment. This arrangement also facilitates installation by reducing the required skid space for the Cool Max Gas Cooler, allowing customers more flexibility when designing facilities.

Cool Max Gas Cooler Advantages:

  • Modular and skid mounted:  Allows for easy, quick and safe transportation and installation of equipment
  • Tail-Boardable:  Able to be mounted on a winch truck; no crane necessary is a significant cost savings
  • Swing-back skid (for engine):  Engine built on rotating (or swing-back) skid; compact design allows for easier and safer transportation (less chance for damaged parts)
  • Engine versatility (adaptable to changing conditions):  Interchangeable design allows for easy conversion from gas to motor (electric) engines
  • Vertical Discharge (Unique radiator placement design)
    • Provides greater gas cooling capacity for unit’s footprint
    • Creates high velocity air discharge to minimize the recirculation of hot air
    • Gas cooler is predominately unaffected by variation in wind direction or location of adjacent equipment
    • Facilitates installation by requiring reduced skid space
    • Allows customer more flexibility when designing facilities (given additional available space)

JT Units

The CJT (CDM Joule-Thomson) Plant condenses and removes the heavier hydrocarbon components in the inlet gas stream, thus reducing the GPM content of the gas. All CJT Units are modular in design and skid mounted, making them a great option for remote locations where common-point gas processing facilities are not available.

CJT design Benefits:

  • Meets the required Hydrocarbon dew point pipeline specifications
  • Increases revenue from extracting valuable NGLs in attractive liquids pricing environment
  • Increases gas capacity in the downstream pipeline, thus improving efficiency

CJT Plant consists of:

  • Gas/gas heat exchanger
  • NGL exchanger
  • Hot gas bypass
  • Expansion valve
  • Methanol pump
  • Cold separator

CDM offers JT Units in a variety of sizes to fit most applications. In addition, CDM offers a skid-mounted 18,000 gallon NGL tank for product storage.

NGL Product Tanks

NGL product storage tanks are usually used with JT units to hold NGLs removed from gas for one of two reasons: to meet pipeline BTU specs or to recover liquid for economic uses. Either way, NGL product storage tanks store the liquid until it is ready to be trucked away and sold to market or for further processing and treating.

NGL product tanks are modular and skid mounted in design to allow for:

Sulfa Treats

Sulfa Treats remove unwanted H2S from the gas stream, which can be hazardous or even fatal to people in the vicinity of the H2S gas. CDM’s design allows customers the option of easily ramping up or ramping down volumes or H2S content.

Modular Sulfa Treat includes:

  • Gas inlet piping complete with block valves and bypass
  • Gas outlet piping complete with block valves and bypass
  • Liquid outlet
  • Platform for easier charging
  • Ladder
  • All necessary piping for lead lag or parallel system

Thermal Oxidizers

Thermal Oxidizers are a robust, heavy-duty system that enables 99% destruction removal efficiency (DRE) of unwanted chemicals in CDM’s Amine Plant Vent Gas.

Generators

CDM's Natural Gas Generators give customers in remote areas a less expensive alternative to diesel powered generators. All generators are modular, skid mounted and shipped ready to plug-and-play.

PUB Storage

PUB Storage units are portable utility buildings that can include reverse osmosis water purification systems and pneumatic air compression, if required. PUB Storage units can also provide space for an office-like environment (A/C can be installed) for the individuals that operate the unit.

BTEX Units

BTEX units are usually paired with dehydrators and used to hold the toxic liquid elements removed from natural gas, including Benzene, Ethylbenzene, Toluene and xylene.
