“No person was ever honored for what he received. Honor is given by what he gave.” -- Calvin Coolidge
CDM is committed to giving back to the community. We believe our contributions have much greater value for us and those we serve than the investment of time and money can measure. CDM participates in numerous food drives and toy drives, and is involved with many local charity organizations, including Habitat for Humanity. In particular, CDM proudly supports America’s troops by supporting causes that benefit those who serve or have served our country, including Cypress Cares and Warriors Weekend.
Habitat for Humanity
Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit, faith based, volunteer driven organization dedicated to eliminating sub-standard housing.
Each year, CDM contributes both financially and with helping hands towards the construction of new home.
Salvation Army Toy Drive
For over 120 years, the Salvation Army has provided Christmas assistance for disadvantaged children and seniors in our community.
CDM takes part in these types of charities to give back a little for all we have.
Cypress Cares is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing community support for the troops who protect America's freedom by sending care packages and letters of encouragement from home.
Each year, CDM partners with Cypress Cares to send care packages to U.S. service men and women stationed overseas. Our employees have contributed nearly 10,000 boxes of Girl Scout cookies that have been shipped to troops over the past four years.
Warrior Weekend provides rest and relaxation for soldiers who have been wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan and are recovering at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Missions focus on small groups of eight to ten veterans and allow participants to choose their own activities at various destination cities. The mission was started in December 2006 by Steve Udovich, a retired Army Lt. Colonel and decorated Iraq combat veteran.
Since its inception, CDM has proudly supported the organization by regularly taking a group of warriors for a weekend fishing trip. It is one small way CDM gives back to the heroes who gave their all so that we can keep our freedom.
